Urban reading action visual design

Cultural activities
Initial story
The client has invited me to design the brand visual identity for this meaningful project. Due to the closure of a well-known bookstore, Eslite Bookstore, in Taitung, the community lost an important space for reading and interaction. To address this issue, the client initiated an innovative social project - connecting local cafes to allow the fragrance of books to continue spreading throughout the community.
Research & Process
After a detailed discussion with the client using the brand questionnaire. To sustain the related emotional experience, the design draws inspiration from Eslite Bookstore's cultural yet minimalist modern visual identity.

Solution
Brand DNA
The brand spirit after combing: Link
The client initially provided a draft drawing of four-sided lines, aiming to convey the concept of connection and linkage. From this initial idea, the concept was extended to the idea of connecting cities using books.
